We here at FunkyGeckos are small, private breeders of quality leopard geckos and total leopard gecko enthusiasts. We have kept and bred leopard geckos for over 10 years, and what started out as a passing interest soon turned into a passion and an absolute fascination with these endearing reptiles. As anyone who has ever owned a leopard gecko knows, you cannot stop at owning just the one, and they soon become an addiction!
The sole purpose of our breeding Leopard Geckos, besides personal pleasure, is that we wanted to be able to share, and offer for sale, young Leopard Geckos that we ourselves would be happy to buy - with no hidden agendas or intentions. The aim being to produce stocky, strong and healthy juvenilles who have had a good start in life, yet who are still young enough to be able to let their new owners, be able to share in the dramatic transformations they undergo - especially during the first 12 months of life. We now want to share our successes with other like-minded people who have an interest in leopard geckos - casual or passionate!
We are currently using a breeding stock of 16 superb leos, who receive the best possible care and quality of gut-loaded food, and are kept in extremely clean conditions - where daily spot cleaning is a vital aspect of our care regime. We pride oursleves on only ever breeding from chunky, healthy specimens who are well prepared in advance for the rigours of the breeding season, which in turn, gives us the best possible opportunity of producing outstanding young - colour, weight and health wise.
In 2009 will be hoping to produce many different kinds of morph. In the pipeline are Striped Mack Snow Albinos, Mack Snow Enigmas, Reverse Stripes, Super Snow Enigmas, Neive Stripes ... hopefully many more. These really are exciting times being the owner of leopard geckos - with the introduction and creation of the newer morphs meaning the possibilities during breeding season are almost endless.
Being based in Bolton, the northwest of England, we are less than 20 minutes away from Manchester city centre and also within easy reach of Blackpool -which provides the option of taking a day trip to Blackpool, and collecting a reserved Leopard Gecko from us on the return leg of the journey (if pre-arranged). However, should a pick up or drop off not be practical/available, then there is always the option of using our recommended courier (see T&C`s page).
We are confident that from the moment you purchase a leopard gecko - whether form us or elsewhere - then you will never look back, and your only regret will be that you hadn`t done it sooner, such is the joy and wonderment they still bring to us after all these years!
